Expecting liver failure from all those years as a functional alcoholic? Me too. Here's a solution: take a pill! Yes, I know I totally stole the idea from Star Trek IV, but I have some additions:
1. The pill is full of stem cells! Not exactly crazy. Just impractical. How do they get from your stomach to your liver?
2. Nanobots! When the pill gets to your stomach, nanobots deliver the stem cells to your liver. Easy. But then what happens to all those nanobots?
3. I guess you just have to piss them out. But wait -
4. The nanobots then reveal their secondary purpose - water treatment!
Cleaner water, new liver, everyone's happy.

bacteria computers
Don't laugh. Bacteria communicate using chemical signals. We could bio-engineer them to carry out computations. Give them some leftovers every once in awhile, and you have an eco-friendly living computer. Word.
